Chmshgadzak - The town of Chmshgadzak, now called Çemişgezek, had a significant Armenian population prior to the genocide, 1348 Armenians in 365 households. Most of the Armenians lived in the neighborhood of Uchbeg. Today, very little can be seen in Uchbeg, although what has been identified as the old prison remains. I am including photographs of what has been identified as the remains of an Armenian church. The location of the church leans toward it being Sp. Asdvadzadzin as it is outside the area of Uchbeg. I am also including photographs of the old bridges over the Taghar river and its tributaries. The final photographs are of the prison and Uchbeg neighborhood. The photographs were taken in June 2015.
