Khaskiugh, Mush - The town of Khaskiugh, now called Hasköy, had 4113 Armenians in 340 households on the eve of the genocide. There had been three churches, Sp. Stepanos, Sp. Talila and Sp. Yerrortoutiun. Two of the churches were photographed in 1972, one of which had been converted into a mosque. When I was there in April 2015, the local townspeople indicated only the entranceway had been part of the church and that the mosque was newer. However, it seems the entire structure may have been the church. I stopped just long enough to take these few photographs.
