Sp. David vank of Abrank - The village of Abrank, now called Üçpınar, contained 362 Armenians in 58 households prior to the genocide. Nearby was the significant monastery of Sp. David. Within the monastery is the church of Sp. Hovhannes built in the 19th century. On the hill above is located the older chapel of Sp. David along with two massive khachkars. Originally, there had been five, as late as the 1970's three remained. Today, one of the three is laying flat on the ground. The chapel of Sp. David is locked with an iron gate, but evidence of looters is clear from the numerous holes in the sanctuary. The church of Sp. Hovhannes is apparently used as a stable today as the floor is covered in dung. The site is one of the most impressive I have seen. I have included a large number of photographs due to the significance and extent of the remains. The photographs were taken in June 2015.
