Nazaretian House in Aintab - The Armenians of Aintab, now called Gaziantep, were a wealthy community. The Armenian houses that still remain in the area of Sp. Asdvadzadzin church attest to that wealth. The Nazaretian house is a fine example. The house was built in the mid-1800's by Nazar Agha, the chief consul of Persia in Aintab. The courtyard now serves as the Cafe Papirus. One can read more of the family in "The Krajians of Aintab" by Shushan Yeni-Komshian Teager. The photographs were taken in March 2015.
