Sp. Hagop of Kharpert - This church was near the old grounds of Armenia or Euphrates College. During the 1895 massacres, the dome of the church was damaged and then restored. Today, only two walls remain. I show this as an example of the slim fragments that remain of the once thriving Armenian community of Kharpert. The ruined cemetery of Yegheki and the mound of dirt in Keserig where the church once stood, both additional examples which now serve as a dumping ground for garbage or a place to dry dung. The photographs were taken in May 2012.
